| Angular contact ball bearings
have inner and outer ring raceways that are displaced relative to each
other in the direction of the bearing axis. This means that these
bearings are designed to accommodate combined loads, i.e. simultaneously
acting radial and axial loads. The difference between these and deep groove ball bearings is that the bearing cross-section is designed asymmetrically. Angular contact ball bearings are designed to support loads whose line of application is not perpendicular to the bearing axis but rather at a certain angle to the perpendicular axis (contact angle). |
