Hand Threading and Reaming - Care  for Tapes, Dies and Reamers

  • When you’re done with the reaming, tapping or cutting outside thread, clean the abrasive off the reamer, tap or die in a solvent tank or with low-speed compressed air.
  • Lightly oil the reamer, tap or die to prevent corrosion. The same oil you use for reaming is recommended.
  • Return the reamer, tap or die to its protective case, otherwise it can roll around, get nicked and dull, etc
