job before any drilling, reaming or tapping can be
preformed, the following steps should be followed: |

Interpret
the drawing and work instruction for the job

Select and
mark off the material for the job
- Tools, equipment and
consumables needed
- Select the correct drill and tap size
for the job
- Prepare the correct cutting fluid
- Adjust the drilling machine to the
appropriate speed (RPM) requirements
- Apply the correct and safe clamping
or fixing method for the work piece
